Christmas Tree Shopping

Hosting Thanksgiving made me pump my brakes on going full on in with the Christmas decor. 

And although Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I absolutely LOVE Christmas decor! Something about it puts me in a great mood. Nevermind it’s my saviors birthday. I mean technically it’s like a worldwide birthday celebration for someone I truly love. How can you not get excited about that? 

Now the commercialization of holidays is a whole other topic for another day. But the genuine love, joy and cheer expressed by most is amazing. 

With that same joy we all packed into our car on the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving to go get our tree! And the weather definitely cooperated as the 15 degree weather we felt the previous two days rose to a high of 52 degrees.

Once we got there we strolled through the aisles looking for our tree. I use my husbands height to gage the size of tree that I want. And then I pick the thickest juiciest version of that. It took about a good ten minutes to pick the perfect one.  Which was quicker than the length of time we spent in the car to get there but it was so worth it because we got the most perfect tree!
