Girl Scouts Halloween Party
So the truth about my life is I always have it together or I am a total mess. No in between. So of course in true hot mess fashion. I wait until the day of Kendra’s Girl Scouts Party to finally get her costume. Now of course I attempted to be a responsible adult and went in search of a costume at Target the week before. But I didn’t like the options that were left in her size.
So the Friday of the party, I ran to Party City on my lunch break and snagged this Nurses costume for $9.99!!! My daughter will probably have three costumes for Halloween and she will never wear any of them again. So my attitude is “this is not an investment”! I checked out the material and it was a little thin but we could definitely work with it.
I needed to add my special Mommy touch to the costume. So after work I ran to Dollar Tree trying to find a clipboard. They had one that I hated so I created a makeshift one with a mini poster board and a clip, and then grabbed a pair of reading glasses.
A little creativity goes a long way ! Kendra’s costumes total cost was under $15!
The effort is so worth the memories for our children. Now we can talk about me having a hard time dropping her off and leaving but we’ll save that for another post.
We had a full blown photo shoot before I sent this Nurse on her way.
