Candytopia’d!
We had such a great time at Candytopia this past weekend. Every once in a while we like to do something to surprise our girls. This time it was an event in New York City called Candytopia.
It was somewhat of a modern day ‘quickie’ version of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The rooms varied in different candy filled photo opportunities.
Now don’t get me wrong there were no chocolate fountains and magical boat rides but it was definitely a good time.
In each room you are allowed one piece of candy per ticket holder. Stingy?!? In a sense I get it, if everyone was taking bucket fulls of candy the replenishment situation could be an issue.
In most rooms they allow you to scan a personalized bar code that they email to you and the staff take professional photos! So besides the great IPhone and Android pictures you get some serious professional grade pics sent directly to your email.
The only thing I didn’t like was a sense of feeling rushed during some points. Just imagine someone yelling “these doors are closing in one minute!” But I get the time restrictions as they take groups of around 40-50 people for each “tour”.
At $34 a ticket for adults and around $20 something for kids. It was a great deal and such a fun filled time with the kids.
Hopefully you can make a trip before it closes in November. Check out our gallery for more pics!
